hey sarah, MUD stands for a "multi-user dungeon, domain or dimension and is a multi-player computer game that involves role-playing with other users.
MOOS stand for Object orientatedand this involves a 'text' online virtual reality system where multiple users can join online and are all connected at the same time.
I didn't really know what these were either before i researched into them. I've never experienced this sort of interactive gaming before. I can see why it is so popular though, mass groups of people can play in this virtual world with their characters in games like 'World of Warcraft', etc.
